PRIVATE PILOT

As part of our Private Pilot Package, you can fly in a variety of aircraft types including the state-of-the-art Diamond DA40 with the latest technology and safety features including a G-1000 NXi glass cockpit. Try the Diamond DA20 or Cessna 172 for a less expensive option. This course includes:

1. 40-hours of flight time including fuel

2. 20-hours of flight instruction

3. No Simulator time required

4. No Simulator instruction required

1. FAA Medical Certificate

2. Written exam completed within preceding 24-months

3. ATA Flight Academy study prep completed

4. Deposit paid in full*

*To reserve a training slot for this fast track program, students must pay 1/2 of the course total as a deposit. The remainder is due on the first day of training. 

1. 20-hours of dual flight time with an instructor

2. 3-hours of simulated instrument time in an aircraft (hood)

3. 3-hours of dual cross country

4. 3-hours of night flight, including: 

*A cross country greater than 100nm total distance

*10-takeoffs and landings to a full stop

5. 3-hours in the preceding 60-days before the checkride

6. 10-hours solo flight time, including:

* 5-hours of solo cross country

* 1-solo cross country of at least 150nm total distance with 3-full stop landings

* 3-takeoffs and landings to a full stop at a towered airport

The course total above are derived from FAA regulations and may not represent the actual amount of training required to achieve the specified certificates and/or ratings. The timeline and prices quoted are based on minimum hours. Additional training will be billed at an hourly rate and could extend the graduation date.

At ATA Flight Academy, courses and pricing assume that students meet the FAA prescribed experience prerequisites. If students wish, Aerotex Aviation/ ATA Flight Academy can provide Time-Building in order to meet all prerequisites.
