One of the most proven ways to earn your stripes in aviation is to become a professional advanced flight instructor. This course includes the following ratings:
1. Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
2. Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)
3. Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
With these ratings under your belt, you will be qualified to teach almost any aspect of general aviation that does not require a type rating. Advanced instructors typically land better jobs with better pay since their experience is respected in the industry. Multi-engine instructors often get paid more than single-engine instructors. For those of you who would like to build time and transition to heavier aircraft, the experience you gain as an advanced instructor is recognized.
An added benefit to becoming an advanced instructor is, if you train with ATA Flight Academy, we often offer you a job. For those who make this type of commitment to their training, we want you on our team. We recognize the hard work and sacrifice that it takes to reach this level of proficiency.
This course assumes that you already have a Commercial Multi-Engine Instrument certificate (Corporate or Charter Track,) and meet all prerequisites. The aggregate cost of the curriculum (CFI->CFII->MEI,) is approximately: $7,215 (Does Not include time building.)
The course total above are derived from FAA regulations and may not represent the actual amount of training required to achieve the specified certificates and/or ratings. The timeline and prices quoted are based on minimum hours. Additional training will be billed at an hourly rate and could extend the graduation date.
At ATA Flight Academy, courses and pricing assume that students meet the FAA prescribed experience prerequisites. If students wish, Aerotex Aviation/ ATA Flight Academy can provide time building in order to meet all prerequisites.
